Rakai Jade

Started by renowned Jade carver Lewis Gardiner, he works with a variety of talented young artists who come to him for his guidance, as well as to bring their own creative designs to the collective. They pride themselves on pushing the boundaries of traditional Māori design and producing pieces that reach a high level of artistic excellence. They work to convey traditional and cultural Māori ideals through contemporary design and craftsmanship.
